Ramakrishna Vivekananda Mission is a Socio-religious organisation setup by Revered Swami Nityanandaji Maharaj in the year 1976 at 7, Riverside Road, Barrackpore Cantonment, Barrackpore, North 24 Parganas, West Bengal with 20 tribal children of most backward districts of West Bengal for their residential care, education and training free of cost. His exemptery service attracted attention of the then authorities of State & Central Government. As an outcome, on the request of both the Central & State Government, he expanded his activities mainly to cater to the need of orphan children, destitute women, unemployed youths together with providing modern education to local students as per the teachings of World Teacher Swami Vivekananda which aims at Man-Making, Character-Building education.
